The Georgian Hotel Review

The Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica is a charming luxury boutique hotel. Built in 1933, This Historic still stands today proud of its past as the home of popular actors and actresses from the golden days of Hollywood. Located on the bluffs of Santa Monica, the Georgian Hotel is right across from Palisades Park and two blocks away from the Santa Monica Pier. The Georgian hotel offers guests magnificent panoramic views of the bay area and the awe-inspiring sunset views over the Pacific Ocean.

The eight-story Georgian Hotel, with its Art Deco architecture and world-class accommodations, pleases the business traveler and the vacationer alike. The hotel is completely smoke-free with comfortable seating in the hotel lobby with the bar and a pool table near by. The lobby, offering ocean and park views, has an ornamental fireplace with Victorian chair rails, period décor, tables and chairs. The on-site restaurant, The Veranda, includes the indoor dining area and the outdoor veranda which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The Veranda serves breakfast and lunch. The Veranda's breakfast menu includes French Toast Soufflé, omelets, and traditional American breakfasts and fruit plates. Lunch fare includes California cuisine and the restaurant's popular Veranda Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, Brie & Mango Quesadillas and the modern twist of the classic Green Goddess Salad. In the evening, the lobby and The Veranda are transformed into a lounge with a full bar that serves fine wines, imported beers, cocktails and soft drinks. The hotel does not serve dinner but there are terrific local restaurants nearby.

Each of the 84 guest rooms is decorated with a subtle Art Deco feel with bold pastel colors which reflects the design of the building itself.
